Shannon Cornelius, EH Graduate

Since graduating from the EH program I have found that I now have much more time for leisure reading and hiking the beautiful Utah outdoors. In addition to re-reading several classic environmental texts since graduating, I've enjoyed combing through some great progressive magazines of the West that encourage students of the environmental movement to become activists in any way that they can--whether it's through education, business, politics, art, or any venue. The perspectives I learned in the EH program have helped me re-evaluate the importance of environmental literature and journalism in our world today. In addition to these leisure activities, I am working at a local communications firm. My work focuses on communications research including several new research projects geared toward wind and solar energy. I hope to continue my work assisting companies work toward ethical environmental initiatives in the future.
